Eager to get a glimpse into the world of private equity and leveraged buyout structuring? Are you up for the challenge to work with some of the most demanding customers in finance? Leveraged Finance in Nordea Corporate & Investment Banking is recruiting for internships during fall 2018.
As an integrated part of Nordea Investment Banking, our team of 40 professionals across the Nordics is responsible for delivering first-class debt services and solutions in a broad set of situations, including leveraged buyouts, acquisition financings, dividend recapitalisations and refinancings.
In close cooperation with relevant units in Investment Banking, Leveraged Finance is responsible for all parts of the private equity related debt value chain including pitching, structuring, execution and ultimately the distribution of debt instruments across financial markets.
We are fully committed to a product-agnostic approach and our capabilities span a wide spectrum of debt solutions including bank loan financings, distributed loans and high yield bonds.
Nordea Investment Banking has the goal of being recognised as the leading investment bank in the Nordics and has achieved great success, both measured in size of transactions and customer recognition. Leveraged Finance is at the core of a high performance organisation and strives to achieve extraordinary outcomes for highly demanding clients.

The offer

Following an intense introduction week with the purpose of equipping you with the technical toolbox and soft insights needed for you to make an impact, you will as a Leveraged Finance intern join a team of highly dedicated and experienced industry professionals. Through continuous training and support from senior colleagues, you will from day one be expected to actively contribute to ongoing transactions and take ownership and responsibility for various key processes including the preparation of pitch material, financial modelling and aggregating and analysing quantitative and qualitative data.
You will also assume responsibility for supporting the team with various internal tasks learning first-hand the decision-making process of an investment bank.
On any given day, your work could range from fundamental credit analysis and financial modelling of a potential buy-out target to assisting in creating sales pitch materials for a high yield bond refinancing or monitoring our leveraged finance credit portfolio. The tasks will be diverse and demanding and you will be rewarded for your hard work and commitment through the development of a competitive skill set and a unique experience that you will be able to benefit from throughout your career whether in investment banking or elsewhere.
We offer two positions during autumn 2018, the internship lasts for 20 weeks and is based in Stockholm.
