Are you interested in a fast paced and data driven job where every microsecond counts? Would you like to use your quantitative and qualitative skills to develop and maintain Danske Banks future digital solutions for both FX trading and Sales. If this sounds like you, then we have the challenge.
You will join the Electronic Foreign Exchange (eFX) team based in Copenhagen under the FI&C (Fixed Income and currencies) division in Danske Bank’s C&I (Corporates & Institutions) arm – an ambitious and dynamic organization servicing the financial needs of the banks largest customers.
The responsibility areas of eFX are many and diverse, with the common denominator of being 100% digital and automated. Some of these areas Include:
• Liquidity sourcing from Interbank venues
This is a unique opportunity to join a dynamic team that focuses on driving technological change in FX. You will get hands on experience with the full value chain in FX and you can expect a solid and steep learning curve. Our expectation is that you will join the eFX team on a permanent basis after the First Year Analyst programme.
Your responsibilities and the First Year Analyst programme
As member of eFX you will have the responsibility of systematically sourcing, pricing and hedging FX products to help our clients meet their financial ambitions. You can expect to work with all areas of eFX, but also to have significant rotations on our FX Sales, FX Spot and FX Options desks.
You will work closely with relevant stakeholders to achieve advances in electronic trading and distribution. At the same time, you will follow local and global financial markets, developing tools and concepts to gauge opportunities and communicate your findings to provide our clients with first class advice and execution.
The First Year Analyst-programme starts on September 1st 2020 and consists of three learning modules and the opportunity for two short-term postings. The programme offers a chance to build a useful network within the bank, and is an excellent way to get to know our organisation. In addition, the rotation opportunities enable you to broaden your knowledge and skill set, to give you a wider understanding of our business and add new perspectives to bring back to your original desk.
For you to prosper in our team you should have a keen interest in financial markets and fintech advances – personal drive and willingness to learn is more important than previous experience. To succeed in this role you will need analytical skills (Python/R, SQL/SAS etc). Experience with Java/C++ will be considered with interest.
You will typically hold a master’s degree (or higher) in finance, economics, engineering, computer sciences or similar. We believe that you have a strong drive, empathy in order to understand stakeholder’s perspectives and the ability to inspire and take ownership to develop both yourself but also our business from day one.
We believe in an inclusive and diverse culture and therefore encourage applications from a diverse set of personal and educational backgrounds. If you have questions, please contact Troels Estrup, Head of eFX +45 45 14 67 09 (firstname.lastname@example.org).
Send application and CV no later than 13.10.2019.
