London Banking Tour
27th September 2017 - 29th September 2017
London Banking Tour is LINC’s oldest event. For more than 25 years, we’ve been arranging trips to Europe’s finance capital, London, in order to meet bulge bracket banks at their own facilities and to get an insight in the real banking life. LBT is held on an annual basis.
This year’s edition of LINC’s London Banking Tour in collaboration with BGI will be held September 27th – 29th (we will travel on the 26th and return home on the 30th).
When: September 27th – 29th, 2017
Application deadline: September 19th
Price: SEK 1 000 (includes accommodation and alumni dinner). Please note that you have to pay your own plane tickets.
This is a unique opportunity to visit the leading financial institutions in London during their recruitment process. 25 students from Lund University will be visiting the following leading investment banks and financial institutes;
– Goldman Sachs
– Bank of America Merrill Lynch
– Deutsche Bank
– Credit Suisse
A typical visit includes a short company presentation, a tour of the office and trading floors, hints and tips about the industry and application process, meeting representatives across different divisions (from Research, Sales & Trading to Investment Banking, etc.) followed by a Q&A-session.
In total, 25 students will be offered a spot on the tour. We strongly urge all students to apply regardless of their discipline and level of study. Please note that a previous membership in LINC is not required to apply. Still, if you’ll be offered a spot on the tour you need to become a member prior to departure.
All participating students will be staying at the same pre-booked residence. We will also arrange one Alumni-dinner on Friday, September 29th, where you will have an opportunity to meet LINC-alumnis currently working in London (included in the price). All accommodation expenses, including breakfast, will be covered by LINC. Please note that all participants will be responsible for their own flight bookings.
To apply, please send a one page CV in English together with a letter of motivation (maximum 150 words) and three questions that you would like to ask the firms to firstname.lastname@example.org. Please also include, if you know, your divisional preference (i.e. Markets, IBD, Research etc). Please use our CV-template, provided below. Send in your application no later than September 19th 23:59.
Please note that we will host a mandatory pre-event on Monday 25th of September in order to prepare all participants for the London trip.
